Today's words


1.RELIC (noun)

an object considered holy
* A crude stone ax and other relics of the Neanderthals.
*During the dig,archoelogists found a few relics from the stone age.

2.PERIL (noun) / HAZARD

something that is likely to cause injury,pain,harm or loss
*I never felt that my life was in peril
*The acceptance of strangers in your home kinf of peril as they might look like a good person but in     reality they're not.

3.OBSOLETE (adjective) / ANTIQUATED

no longer used by anyone
*Amsar wondered when the obsolete word voiced out by his housemate.
*Gas lamps became obsolete when electric lighting was invented.

4.MISLEAD / BLUFF

to cause someone to believe something that is not true
*The coral snake's attractive colours can mislead you into thinking that it is harmless.
*He has admitted misleading the police about his movements on the night of the murder.

5.OBSCURITY

state of being unknown or forgotten or difficult to understand
*The singer languished in realative obscurity years before becoming famous.
*He was briefly famous in his twenties but then sank into obscurity.
